Remote Learning

Remote LEarning

Here at GB Training we are always looking at ways to evolve and adapt with our learners, to address new ways of working. The Covid-19 situation has presented an opportunity for us to provide remote learning, with flexible study opportunities to continue to develop skills and gain qualifications.

How this works

You will be provided with an online learning account which will house all of your online study packs. You will receive full support from your dedicated tutor, who will provide an induction by telephone or video call, they will then guide you through your course, providing advice, feedback and will mark your work online. The majority of remote courses offered take around 6 weeks to complete.

Apprenticeships are for businesses large and small and are supported with bonuses for companies.

Firms will receive £2,000 for each apprentice they take on and £1,500 for those apprentices over 25 years old.

When employers take on a 16-18 year old on an apprenticeship, they will receive £1,000 to help meet the extra costs associated with this. This will be paid to employers in two equal instalments at 3 months and 12 months. These payments are made to employers via their training provider, who will pass the money on.

Find out more about apprenticeship Levy funding.

Employers who benefit from the small employer co-investment waiver will also receive these payments.

Certificates are also funded for the learners and the employer.
